Matt Guinto

Matthew Guinto

Matthew Guinto was hired in the Summer of 2017 as an athletic assistant for the Utica College men’s soccer program.  Guinto will be responsible for assisting Head Coach Brian Marcantonio with all facets of the program. 

Guinto’s most recent head coaching experience includes stints with the Greater Binghamton FC 02 Select Boys and the BC United Energy 00-03 Girls.  During his time with the Greater Binghamton FC he guided his team to the 2017 FC Delco Championship as well as a semifinal appearance at the 2017 Disney Wide World of Sports President’s Day Cup.

Guinto is a USSF National D-Licensed Coach as well as a NSCAA Level 6 Licensed Coach. He also has his Level 1 Goalkeeper license through the NSCAA.

He is a 2011 graduate of St. John Fisher College where he earned a bachelor’s degree in management from the Bittner School of Business.  Guinto played four years of varsity soccer at St. John Fisher, appearing in 66 games over the course of his collegiate career (six goals, four assists, midfielder). He helped lead the Cardinals to the Empire 8 Conference Tournament three times, including an E8 Championship game appearance in 2007.  In his junior season he helped pace the Cardinals to an ECAC Upstate Championship crown.

He currently resides in Utica.
