Kari Beane played varsity softball as a pitcher at Stockbridge Valley Central School from 1990-1993. During that time she also played on the Utica Moose 18 and under team for Coach Mineo. After high school, Kari played softball at Canisus College and Buffalo State College. At Buffalo State College she received SUNYAC honors for posting the lowest ERA in the conference.Â

Kari earned her bachelors of science in 1998 in Economics with a concentration in International Trading. Kari returned home to work For the Oneida Indian Nation and persue her Master’s Degree in Education Leadership and Administration: Principal and Administrator Licensure.  In 2007 Kari started her career at Utica College as an Academic Support Counselor in the Opportunity programs and is currently the Assistant CSTEP Director in the Office of Opportunity Programs.

Kari has been the pitching coach at Utica College since 2011. Kari was part of the coaching staff in 2013 season when the team recorded their best softball season in program history. The 2013 edition of the Pioneers earned a 34-14 record and made their first NCAA softball tournament appearance.
