Utica University Head Softball Coach Rinae Olsen announced the hiring of Megan White as the program’s assistant coach in the summer of 2022. White will assist Olsen with all facets of the program including scouting, recruiting, practice and game preparation, as well as day-to-day operations in the office.
White graduated from Skidmore College in 2022 with a B.S., majoring in Health and Human Physiological Sciences.
In 2022, while playing for Olsen at Skidmore, White was named National Fastpitch Coaches Association Division III Third Team All-American and was the Liberty League Player of the Year. She led the league with a .460 batting average. She finished the season as one of three players nationally to not strike out, successfully navigating 108 plate appearances.
She ranked eighth nationally with .56 doubles per game and totaled 17 doubles, three triples, two home runs, 23 runs batted in, and 36 runs scored. Playing shortstop and leading off, she had a .500 on-base percentage and safely swiped 12-of-13 stolen base attempts. She finished the season with a team record 26-game on-base streak. She turned seven double plays and had a .950 fielding percentage with 74 assists and 39 putouts.
