Kayla Kibling

Kayla Kibling

Kayla Kibling was hired in the summer of 2016 as the assistant women’s basketball coach.  Kibling will assist head coach Michele Davis with all aspects of the program including scouting, recruiting, game and practice preparation, and day-to-day operations.
 
Prior to Utica, Kibling was a student-athlete at Onondaga Community College (OCC) and the University of Rochester (UR).
 
At UR, Kibling was a two-year member of the women’s basketball and softball teams. During the 2015-2016 basketball season, she started all 29 games and helped the team reach the Elite Eight of the NCAA Tournament. As starting short-stop for the UR softball team, she helped lead her team to 2 straight Liberty League Conference titles and NCAA Regional Appearances (2015-2016).
 
Accolades earned while at UR include numerous Liberty League and UAA honors, All-Rochester Area first team for basketball, and first team All-Region for softball. 
 
Prior to UR, Kibling attended OCC where she lettered in both women’s basketball and softball, and captained the 2013-2014 basketball team that won 31 games and placed 4th at the NJCAA National Tournament.
 
Kibling earned an associate’s degree from OCC in Engineering Science in 2014 and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Engineering Science with a minor in Environmental Engineering from the University of Rochester in 2016.
 
She currently resides in Utica and is pursuing her master’s degree at UC.
