Jackie Solomito was hired in the summer of 2017 as an athletic assistant for women’s hockey. Solomito will assist head coach Dave Clausen in all facets of the program, including day-to-day operations, scouting, recruiting, as well as game and practice preparation.
Solomito is a 2012 graduate of Manhattanville College, where she earned a BA in Political Science with a concentration in Criminal Law and a minor in Sociology. She was a four-year member of the women’s hockey team and served as an assistant captain in her senior season. During her junior year, she helped lead the Valiants to an ECAC East Conference title and an NCAA Tournament berth.
Solomito has a wealth of coaching experience in both the youth and collegiate levels. Prior to Utica, she spent one season as an assistant at SUNY Cortland. She has coached at various New York State and USA Hockey evaluation camps, as well as Can/Am hockey camp.
Originally from Bellmore, NY, Solomito currently resides in Utica and is pursuing her Master’s degree at UC.
