Jordan Hobaica was hired in the summer of 2017 as the assistant women’s hockey coach. Hobaica will assist head coach Dave Clausen in all facets of the program, including day-to-day operations, scouting, recruiting, as well as game and practice preparation.
Hobaica graduated from Utica in 2014 with a Bachelor of Science in Biology/Pre-Med. He was a standout on the UC men’s hockey team, suiting up in 102 games in his career as a Pioneer. He served as a captain in his final two seasons, and helped lead the team to its first ever NCAA tournament berth and an appearance in the NCAA Division III Frozen Four.
He has served as an assistant coach for various local youth teams including Clinton, Utica, and Whitestown and has his USA Hockey coaching certification.
A native of nearby Clinton, NY, Hobaica currently resides in Utica and is pursuing his master’s degree at UC.
