Lora Allen was hired in the Summer of 2016 as an athletic assistant for the Utica College volleyball team and will assist Head Coach Aris Bird with all facets of the program. Allen’s responsibilities will include recruiting, scouting, practice and game preparation, along with day-to-day operations in the office.

Allen is a 2016 graduate of Utica College and was a three-year member of the volleyball team after playing one season at Nazareth College. She also holds the program record for assists in a career (2,137) and is the only player in UC history to reach the 2,000-assists milestone. Allen was also named the Empire 8 Sportswoman of the Year as a senior.

Originally from Dolgeville, NY, Allen currently resides in Utica. She is working towards her master’s degree in Inclusive Education from UC.
