Utica, NY (3/25/13)- Senior Mallory Ingalls of the Utica College softball team was named the College’s Female Athlete of the Week Monday after an impressive showing down in Florida.

After 10 games in six days Ingalls posted some remarkable stats that could not be ignored. Ingalls currently is batting .484 on the season with 15 hits on only 30 at-bats, to go along with 13 RBI’s and one homerun. The second-year captain is leading the team in six offensive categories including an impressive slugging percentage of .742.

Ingalls currently leads the Empire 8 Conference in slugging percentage (.742), doubles (five), and RBI, and is second in the conference in hits, batting average, and homeruns.

The Pioneers, after a week in the sun, return to Central NY for three double-headers this week. UC will take on Southern Vermont and Skidmore at home on Wednesday and Friday, respectively, before traveling to Elmira on Saturday.
