Utica, NY (January 20, 2014) - Sophomore Raphael Warnon of the Utica College swimming and diving team was named the College’s Male Athlete of the Week on Monday.

Warnon picked up the victory in two events when Utica lost to Clarkson University 166-105 on Saturday. The sophomore secured a convincing victory in the 200 yard backstroke with a time of 2:04.44, and also won the 100-yard backstroke in a time of 57.30. In all, Warnon scored 18 of UC’s points on Saturday.

The Pioneers return to the pool Saturday as they visit Nazareth College for their final conference match of the season. Start time is set for 1 p.m.
