Utica, NY (September 1, 2014)- Senior Maddisen Melley of the Utica College women’s soccer team was named the College’s Female Athlete of the Week, Monday, after helping the Pioneers to a 2-0 opening weekend of action.
 
Melley netted the game-tying goal in the 63rd minute of the Pioneers’ game against Keuka on Sunday.  She followed that up with the winning tally in double-overtime to lift UC over the Wolfpack in thrilling fashion.  She is currently tied for the team lead with four points on the year. 
 
The Pioneers return to action Friday as they travel to Potsdam, NY for a match up against Clarkson University.  Game time is scheduled for 7 p.m.
