Utica University Athletics

Forward Bridget Greenwald of the Utica College women's basketball team was named the Empire 8 Conference Player of the Week and the College's Female Athlete of the Week on Monday. 

Greenwald averaged 11.8 points, 11.0 rebounds and 1.8 steals per game as the Pioneers went 2-2 last week.  She scored 10 points, grabbed 16 rebounds and added three steals in the Pioneers' win over SUNYIT on Saturday.  She added 19 points and 13 rebounds in a victory at Keystone on Sunday.  She also posted 10 points and eight rebounds in the season opener against Oneonta on Tuesday night. 

Greenwald currently ranks 13^th in the Empire 8 with an average of 11.6 points per game this season.  She also ranks third in the conference with an average of 11.6 rebounds per game. She is one of just two players in the Empire 8 who is averaging a double-double this season.

The Pioneers are currently 3-2 overall and return to the hardwood on Monday, December 1^st when they play host to local rival Hamilton College at 6 p.m.
