UTICA, NY- Utica College senior women’s lacrosse player Morgan DuPont was named the College’s Female Athlete of the Week after her standout performance in a two game stretch this past weekend.

Over the course of two games this weekend DuPont collected nine points. On Saturday she had two goals and a team-high four assists in Utica’s 15-2 win over Alfred. On Sunday she tallied two more goals and added one assist in an 11-10 loss to Nazareth College.

She currently ranks third in the Empire 8 with an average of 1.73 assists per game this season.  She also ranks second on the team with 31 points (12 goals, 19 assists).

DuPont is the program’s all-time leader with 93 career assists. She recently surpassed Kat Glynn ’06 for sixth place on the College’s all-time scoring list with 145 career points (52 goals, 93 assists).

The Pioneers (7-4, 2-2 Empire 8) return to action Saturday as they travel to Elmira College for an Empire 8 conference matchup with the Soaring Eagles. Game time at Elmira is set for 12 p.m.
