(1/19/2016) - Former Utica College men’s hockey All-American Tim Coffman currently leads the Alaska Aces of the East Coach Hockey League (ECHL) in scoring with 30 points in 38 games this season.

Coffman is a currently a team captain and was signed by the Aces as a free agent back on Sept. 6, 2013.  He enters his third season with the Aces and Coffman was a part of the 2013-14 Kelly Cup Champion team and has been a great contributor for the club over the course of the last two seasons. The 27 year-old veteran scored a total of 40 points in just 48 games for the Aces last season. 

Prior to joining the Aces, he skated in the Netherlands for the Tilburg Trappers in 2012-13. He tied for fourth in club scoring with 48 points (20g-28a) in only 26 games. Helped guide the club to a Dutch Cup championship and led the team in tournament scoring with 13 points (8g-5a) in six games. Coffman began his ECHL career in 2011-12 with the Greenville Road Warriors, collected five points (3g-2a) and a +4 rating in 14 games while earning an assist in his professional debut. He suited up in one Kelly Cup Playoff game. 

Coffman, a two-year captain for the Utica College hockey team, was a two-time ECAC West All-Conference First Team selection and was named an East Region All-American in his senior campaign.  He was named to the 2008-09 ECAC West All-Rookie Team and was the League's Rookie of the Year that same season.  He holds the school record in career points (140), career assists (91), and the single season record for goals scored (19).  He was also a two-time ECAC West scoring leader and a recipient of the College’s Richard “Dick” Miller Most Inspirational Player Award back in 2012.
