Utica, NY – Kevin Gangemi of the Utica College men’s track and field team has been chosen as the UC Male Athlete of the Week for his performance at the Pioneer Winter Classic over the weekend.
 
Gangemi took home first place with his efforts in the 300-meter event. He beat out a St. John Fisher competitor by a nose, finishing only .03 seconds ahead. Kevin’s time of 35.54 is a new facility record at the Hutton Sports & Recreation Center, breaking the old mark of 36.08.
 
The Pioneers are back in action after the winter break when they host the Utica College Invitational & Multi on January 12^th and 13^th. The meet will start that Saturday morning at 10:30 a.m.
