Utica, NY – Freshman Brandon Osmundson of the Utica College men’s hockey team has been named the UC Male Athlete of the Week for his combined three-goal, two-assist performance over the weekend.

The former Hampton Roads Whalers forward served as the catalyst against Manhattanville on Friday night, posting three goals en route to a convincing 5-2 win on the road. Osmundson picked up right where he left off the next night against Neumann, but this time serving as a distributor on the offensive attack with two assists in a 6-2 victory.

He now has team-highs in points (7) and goals (three) while also adding four assists thus far in his freshman campaign.

The Pioneers return home this Friday to host Nazareth College at 7 p.m. for Parkway Drugs Night at the Adirondack Bank Center.
