Mia Benincasa has been named as a Pioneer Athlete of the Week for the week of October 28th.
Mia Benincasa had another great offensive week as she added to an already outstanding rookie resume with a goal and an assist during her two Empire 8 matchups on Wednesday and Saturday. Benincasa had the lone Pioneer tally on Wednesday against Hartwick, and assisted teammate Alyssa Pisano on Saturday against Brockport to earn her three points on the week. The standout newcomer now places thirteenth in the conference for goals with eight, and 15th in the conference for points with 19, high marks for a player undergoing their first year of collegiate field hockey.
