Connor Ford has been selected as Pioneer Athlete of the Week for the week of April 28th, 2025.

Ford had a stunning display of dominance in relief this past Wednesday, locking down Keuka for the entirety of his five-inning outing. The Junior pitcher allowed just a single hit in the rubber match between the Pioneers and Wolves, shutting out Keuka over a five-inning stretch to end the game. Thanks to his constant string of big outs, the Pioneers were able to erase a 7-1 deficit, scoring seven unanswered runs to take the pivotal game by an 8-7 final. Ford got the win thanks to his stellar effort, his first of the season at the most important juncture of the year so far. The Swedesboro native was nigh-untouchable during the Wednesday game and allowed the Pioneers to stay in the driver's seat for the number four seed in this year's Empire 8 Tournament.
