Kelsey Elliott has been named a Pioneer Athlete of the Week for the week of January 26th, 2026. This is her first Pioneer honor of the academic year.
Kelsey Elliott capped off a weekend in which the Pioneers captured a big Saturday win over UCHC opponent Albertus Magnus, scoring the game-winning goal in what would be a 2-1 victory over the Falcons at the Wonderland of Ice down in Connecticut. The Pioneer captain would crash the net in the late second period, slamming home a puck on the back post to make the scoreline 2-1 in the visitors’ favor. Some solid play in net over the final two periods by Alex Venning would help make Elliott’s goal the game-winner, giving the Pioneers a very important conference victory.Â
Elliott and the women's hockey team will take on Nazareth in this weekend's UCHC series, looking to upend the unbeaten Golden Flyers. Both games begin at 3:00 PM this Friday and Saturday, with the first matchup in Rochester and the second back home at the Utica University Nexus Center.
