Utica College sophomore standout Justin Cichon (New Hartford/New Hartford) earned Honorable Mention recognition as a member of the 2004 Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Division III Men's Upstate Basketball All-Star team.

Cichon, who was also named to the Empire 8 All-Conference First Team in early March, led the 2003-04 Pioneers to their first ECAC postseason appearance since the 1995-96 season, and a second-place finish in the conference standings.

The 6-foot-1 guard finished the 2003-04 season averaging 13.7 points, 3.4 rebounds, 2.4 assists, and 1.5 steals per contest. Cichon also shot 45 percent from the field, which included hitting a team-high 65 three-pointers on 40 percent shooting from behind the arc.

The University of Rochester forward Seth Hauben was named the ECAC Upstate Men's Player of the Year.
