Update: Troy named a 2005 ECAC Division III Upstate Men's Basketball All-Star Honorable Mention.

Utica College senior Tim Troy (Archbishop Stepinac/Yonkers), a member of the men's basketball team, was named to the 2004-05 D3hoops.com All-East Region Team on Wednesday, March 16.

Troy, who was also named to the Empire 8 All-Conference First Team, led the Pioneers and the Empire 8 in rebounding with 12.6 boards per contest. Troy's rebounds per contest consistently ranked among the best in the nation at the Division III level for much of the 2004-05 season. The 6-foot-6 forward also finished the year second on the Pioneer team in scoring with 12 points per outing.

The Pioneers finished the 2004-05 season with a 13-13 overall record and an 8-6 record in conference competition.

Players were nominated for D3hoops.com All-Region Teams by the Sports Information Directors at each respective institution. A record 606 players were nominated nationwide.

The ballot was then made available to SIDs, who voted for 10 players in their region. SIDs voted for six frontcourt players and four backcourt players and the top vote-getters at each position were named to the All-Region team.
