Five Lady Pioneers from the Utica College women's ice hockey team have been named to the 2004-05 ECAC West All-Conference Team.
Sophomores Deana Wiegand (Utica, MI/Belle Tire) and Stephanie Price (River Rouge, MI/Little Caesars) have been named to the All-ECAC West Second Team. Wiegand tallied a team-high 25 points on 13 goals and 12 assists for the season, while Price generated 21 points on eight goals and a team-best 13 assists.
Senior Sarah Detwiler (Tulsa, OK/Texas Lone Star Wolves), and sophomores Courtney Bank (Heritage/Saginaw, MI/Belle Tire) and Kelli Vossler (Saranac Lake, NY/National Sports Academy) have all been recognized as All-Conference Honorable Mention selections. Detwiler, who posted a 10-9-2 record in goal this season for the Lady Pioneers, finished with a 2.44 goals-against average and 516 saves (.913 save percentage). Bank and Vossler anchored a strong Lady Pioneer defense that allowed 62 goals for the season.
The Lady Pioneers finished the season 13-10-2 overall and made their fourth consecutive trip to the ECAC West conference playoffs.
