WILKES-BARRE, PA - Utica University's women's ice hockey team completed its two-game preseason schedule by challenging Wilkes University in a road exhibition, a team ranked 8th in both the USCHO and DIIIHockeyNews polls. The Pioneers beat the Colonels 3-1, flipping the score from last year's matchup, where Wilkes won over the orange and blue on the first day of the Utica University Kickoff Tournament.

Utica has now won both of its preseason matchups and will eye a home regular-season opener against William Smith College next Friday. Opening puck drop at the Nexus Center is set for 4:00 pm.
