UTICA, NY - The Utica University women's hockey program has nurtured an excellent reputation for academic success throughout the years, and last season's edition of the team was no exception. The AHCA recently announced it's top academic honors, the annual Krampade All-American Scholars, an exclusive list that featured seven Pioneer players.

Olivia Marcinkowski (Peabody, MA) | Junior | Forward
Katie Sheahan (Oak Lawn, IL) | Freshman | Goaltender
Madison Wagner (Saukville, WI/Divine Savior Holy Angels) | Sophomore | Defender

In order to qualify, a student-athlete had to have attained a 3.75 GPA for each semester during the 2025-2026 academic year, and had to appear in 40% of the team's games. Exceptions were granted to injured players and back-up goalies. Schools also were required to be members of the AHCA. These Pioneer standouts were featured among a list of 444 women who picked up Division II/III honors. 

Each of these athletes stood out in the classroom, and they were all rewarded for their spectacular efforts with a spot among the country's most elite scholars.

The Pioneers will kick off their 2026-27 campaign with an October 16th home contest against Lebanon Valley. The team, which was full of young talent this past season, will be looking forward to their young standouts to ascend into stardom.
