UTICA, NY – Junior Jill Nolan (Berkshire/Labrador, Newfoundland) of the Utica College women's ice hockey team has been selected by the American Hockey Coaches Association as an USCHO.com 2006 Division III All-American East First Team member.
Nolan was one of only three forwards to be selected as an East First Team All-American and was the only non-senior to do so.
Nolan guided the Pioneers to its fifth straight ECAC West Tournament appearance. The 5-foot-5 forward registered a goal in the Utica's 4-1 semifinal round victory over Elmira College before the Pioneers fell in the championship game to Plattsburgh State.
Nolan, a 2005-2006 ECAC Women's West Second-Team selection, finished the season with 38 points on a team-high 23 goals and 15 assists in just 21 appearances. The 2005-06 Pioneers finished the year 18-7-3 overall, marking its best record in the program's five-year history.
