The Utica College swim and dive team traveled to Hartwick College Saturday to take on the Hawks at Moyer Pool. The UC women's team lost 221-47, while the men's team dropped a 256-62 decision against the Hawks.
For the women,
Ashley VanPatten (Schenectady, NY) won the 1-meter and 3-meter dive events and recorded 18 points for UC. Her scores were 196.75 and 203.65.
Alyssa Cortese (New Hartford, NY) finished second in the women's 100-yard freestyle and 200-yard freestyle and tallied eight points. She recorded times of 57.38 and 2:04.55.
Adrian Romanski (Maspeth, NY) finished third in the men's 1-meter dive with a score of 162.10 and totaled three points for Utica College.
Robert Mayton (Hartwick, NY) placed fourth in the 100-yard freestyle with a time of 57.21 and recorded two points.
Paul Cabrey (Allentown, PA) scored two points with a time of 2:27.60, good for fourth in the 200-yard backstroke.
The Pioneers are back in action Saturday as they host St. Rose College. The meet is scheduled to start at 6 p.m. at the Utica College Pool.
