The Utica College women's hockey team tied visiting Chatham University 3-3 in ECAC Women's West Conference play Sunday afternoon at the Utica Memorial Auditorium. Chatham opened up a 3-1 lead in the second period but the Pioneers answered with two goals in the final stanza and both teams were held scoreless in the overtime period. The Pioneers are now 3-4-1 overall and 1-2-1 in conference play.
Junior
Becky Heim (Westwood, NJ) netted the game-tying goal for the Pioneers with 42 seconds to go in regulation to send the contest into overtime. In her 60th game played for Utica College Heim was honored as one of the stars of the game after scoring her fifth career goal as a defender.

Lynny Gonzales (Rochester, NY) tallied two assists on the day to take the team lead in points scored with eight. Gonzales has eight points in eight games and is tied for fifth in conference with one point per game. Junior
Darcy Hier (Aurora, CO) scored her second goal in two days in mirror fashion. Hier and Gonzales hooked up again to score a shorthanded goal 40 seconds into the second period. Hier, who has six points in eight games, has three goals and three assists and is second in scoring for UC.
Freshmen forward
Meghan McMahon scored her third goal of the season and is third on the team in total points with five.

Ann Rancourt (Cleveland, OH) all had an assist in the contest. Senior goaltender
Jill Doherty (Wellesley, MA) (3-3-1) had 19 saves in 65 minutes of action.
UC returns to the ice Tuesday to face off against Neumann University in an ECAC Women's West Conference game at the Utica Memorial Auditorium. In the conference Neumann Knights are 2-1-1 and Utica is 1-2-1. The contest begins at 7 p.m.
