The Utica College women's soccer team lost its second conference game of the season, 3-0, to host Nazareth College Sunday. The game took place at Golden Flyer Stadium in Rochester, NY. The Pioneers falls to 2-7-2 on the year, with a 1-2-2 record in the conference. The Golden Flyers are now 8-5 overall and remain undefeated in the Empire at 5-0.

Nazareth's leading scorers hooked up early at 3:10 to give the Golden Flyers a 1-0 advantage. Sarah Eichelberger, Nazareth's point leader, delivered a pass to Erica Conte, second in points, who found the back of net.

UC would fend off Nazareth as long as possible. The score remained 1-0 at halftime, however, five minutes into the second half Nazareth's Amanda Sudore scored her second goal of the season off an unassisted shot from the right side. Nazareth went on to add an insurance goal at 67:32 from Eichelberger, on a breakaway.

Pioneer senior Emily Young (Lowville, NY/Lowville) had two of UC's five shots on goal. Goalkeeper Stephanie Simonds (Sidney, NY/Sidney) made eight saves.
