Megan Myers (Las Vegas, NV/LA Selects) netted both of the Pioneers' goals, including the game-winner 4:52 into the third period, as the Utica College women's hockey team defeated ECAC Women's West Conference foe Oswego State 2-1 Friday night. Meyers now has a team-high seven goals this season for the Pioneers (4-2, 3-2 ECAC West). Junior defender

Jennifer Hamel (Ithaca, NY/Northwood School) stopped 28-of-29 shots en route to her third victory of the season.
The Pioneers out shot the host Lakers (1-3-3, 0-2-3 ECAC West) 30-29 on the evening and went 1-for-5 on the power-play
Myers gave Utica a 1-0 advantage 10:54 into the first stanza, on the power-play, off assists from Roy and senior captain

Oswego, which tied traditional power Elmira College less than two weeks ago, knotted the game up at 1-1 when Kelly Collins scored her second goal of the young season, unassisted, midway through the second period.
Myers would tally the game-winner less than five minutes into the third period and Hamel fended off all 11 of the Laker's scoring chances in the final 20 minutes to preserve the victory.

Darcy Hier (Centennial, CO/Colorado Selects) assisted on the eventual game-winner. Hier now has a team-high eight assists this season.
Utica looks to complete the weekend sweep of the Lakers on Saturday night at the Campus Center Ice Arena. The puck is scheduled to drop at 7 p.m.
