2010-2011 Schedule/Results
The Utica College men's basketball team carries an overall record of 6-3, including a 0-1 mark in the Empire 8 Conference, as it prepares for the second half of the season. The remaining schedule features 15 conference games with seven of those being played at the Clark Athletic Center.
The Pioneers are on a two game skid, after dropping back-to-back games to Stevens Institute of Technology and Union College, to close out the first half of the season. Heading into its final two games of the first half, UC was riding its second three game winning streak of the season which included a tournament victory against host Skidmore College.

UC is led by senior point guard
James Patterson (Poughkeepsie, NY/Poughkeepsie), who is averaging a team-high 18.6 points, 4.4 assists, 4.3 rebounds, and 2.7 steals per game. He leads the conference in steals and free throws (attempts and made), is second in points and minutes (35.4), and fourth in assists.
Assisting Patterson at the guard position is sophomore Kevin Johnson, who currently ranks second in points (13.7ppg), assists (3.6apg), steals (1.6spg), and minutes (33.9). In the conference, Johnson ranks seventh in assists, eighth in steals, and ninth in points.
Jeff Ward (Ossining, NY/Ossining High School), a 6-foot-7 sophomore, currently averages 8.1 points and 7.9 boards per game. Ward leads the team in field goal percentage (.542%) shooting 32-of-59 from the floor. In the conference, he ranks fifth in rebounds and eighth in FG%.
The Pioneers return to action Friday, Jan. 7 as they host conference rival St. John Fisher for the first of a three game home stand. Tip-off is scheduled for 8 p.m. The Cardinals are currently 3-5 overall and have beaten Utica 10 out of the last 13 games dating back to the 2005-06 season.
The following day, UC welcomes Alfred University on Jan. 8 and then Ithaca College on Tuesday, Jan. 11.
