Senior goalie Jill Doherty (Wellesley, Ma.) and junior forward Lynny Gonzales (Rochester, N.Y.) of the Utica College women's hockey team were named to the ECAC Women's West All-Conference Second Team released Wednesday by the conference office. Both student-athletes are making their first appearance on the all-conference team.

Utica defeated fifth seeded Neumann University on Monday night and has earned a berth in the ECAC West Semi-Finals. The Pioneers will travel to nationally-ranked No. 1 Plattsburgh State Saturday to take on the Cardinals at 4 p.m. at the Stafford Ice Arena in Plattsburgh.

Doherty, a two-time conference goalie of the week selection this season, will finish her career as the College's all-time wins leader. She currently has 35 career victories between the pipes for UC and ranks second all-time with ten career shut outs. She ranks 20th nationally with a .926 save percentage and has 710 saves in 24 games this season. She has allowed one goal or less in nine games this season and she also posted two shut outs.

Gonzales currently leads UC with 29 points on 16 goals and 13 assists through 26 games. She has a team-high four game-winning goals and 22 of her 29 points have come in conference play. She is the College's active career scoring leader with 66 points (29 goals, 37 assists) in 70 games. She is also the Pioneers most potent threat on the power-play unit with a team-best four power play goals.

Utica currently boasts a four game winning-streak headed into the weekend and now holds a 13-11-2 record, with a 9-8-2 record in league play.
