ECAC Women's West Conference Standings
Utica, NY - The Utica College women's hockey team will host local rival Hamilton College Tuesday night in a non-conference match-up at the Utica Memorial Auditorium. The Pioneers are currently 10-9 overall including a 6-8 mark in the ECAC Women's West Conference, while the Continentals are 9-10 overall with a 5-7 record in the NESCAC.
UC has fell upon hard times as of late, losing its last three games, all in conference play, while being outscored 10-4. Utica dropped to sixth place after losing two pivotal games, over the weekend, to Neumann University.
Utica is led by senior forward
Darcy Hier (Centennial, CO/Colorado Selects) who currently leads the nation in assists per game (1.05) and is 14th in points per game (1.26). Hier leads the team in scoring with 24 points, on four goals and 20 assists. She leads all active players in points with 79 entering her 100th career game.
Freshman
Megan Myers (Las Vegas, NV/LA Selects) leads the team and is 12th nationally in goals (13). She is also sixth in points per game among rookies (1.16). Myers has two hat-tricks this season and five multi-point games. Ten of her 13 goals came in crucial conference games, including four over the past four games.
Following Tuesday's game, the Pioneers have four conference contests remaining against Chatham and Plattsburgh. UC will host Chatham University on Feb. 12 and 13 and then travel to Plattsburgh on Feb. 19 to face the Cardinals in the final weekend series of the regular season.
