Volleyball Falls to Cross-town Foe, Hamilton

Utica, NY (10/3/12)- The Utica College volleyball team fell 3-0 to cross town rival, Hamilton College Wednesday at the Clark Athletic Center.

The Pioneers put up their best fight in the first set, before falling 25-16.  Hamilton won the second set 25-8 and the third 25-11.
Sophomore Briona Enny (Queensbury, NY/Queensbury) had a team-high 15 digs.  Classmates Cassandra Manzer (Portcrane, NY/Chenango Valley) and Madison Bayer (Islip Terrace, NY/East Islip) each had six kills, while freshman Shauna Murray (Trumansburg, NY/Charles O. Dickerson) had four blocks.

UC returns to action Saturday as they travel to the Oswego Invitational.  The first game pits the Pioneers against SUNY Canton at 11 a.m. followed by a contest against the host, Oswego Lakers at 1 p.m.
