Utica, NY (10/5/12)- The Utica College women's soccer team looks to get back on track this weekend as it faces a key Empire 8 weekend set featuring St. John Fisher and Nazareth College. UC hosts Fisher on Saturday before traveling to Rochester, NY to take on Naz, Sunday. Kickoff is scheduled for 1 p.m. both days.
Last Time Out: The Pioneers are coming off a 3-0 loss at Houghton College last Saturday… Junior Caitlin Smith had a season-high 14 saves in the loss.

Spohler Leads the Nation: Senior
Samantha Spohler (East Durham, NY/Cairo Durham) is currently first in the nation with six game-winning goals… All of Spohler's tallies on the season have been game-winners.
Smith Among League-Leaders: Junior
Caitlyn Smith (Waterville, NY/Madison) is in the top five in the E8 in three different statistical categories… She is second in the conference with 81 saves and a .871 save percentage… Smith is also ranked fourth in goals against with a 1.17 average.
Scouting Fisher: The Cardinals are currently 4-4-3 overall and 1-0-2 in the Empire 8… They are coming off a 2-0 loss to Union last weekend… Fisher is led by juniors Alex Rohloff and Chelsea Oberkrieser… Rohloff has seven goals and two assists while Oberkrieser has four goals and two helpers.
Against the Cardinals: The teams have split 4-4-2 since 2002, with four games going to overtime… Last year Fisher downed UC 2-0… The last time UC defeated the Cardinals was in 2007 when it came away with a 3-1 victory.
Scouting Naz: The Golden Flyers are 6-3-3 overall (2-1-1 E8) and are coming off a 1-0 loss to University of Rochester on Tuesday… Naz is led by senior Sarah Eichelberger who has five goals and five assists on the season.
Against The Golden Flyers: The Pioneers are 1-8 against Nazareth dating back to 2003… Last year the Golden Flyers beat UC 2-0… The last time Utica beat Naz was a 2-0 victory in 2006.
Looking Ahead: The Pioneers continue league play next Saturday as they travel to Hoboken, NJ for an E8 tilt against Stevens Institute of Technology… Game time is scheduled for 4 p.m.
