Utica, NY (2-15-12) – The Utica College women's basketball team will wrap up its 2011-12 campaign Saturday against Empire 8 rival Ithaca College.  Tip-off is set for 2 p.m. at the Clark Athletic Center in Utica, NY.

4th Annual PLAY4KAY: The Pioneers will be taking part in the fourth annual “Play4Kay” initiative at the Harold T. Clark Gymnasium...  The women's team will support breast cancer awareness by wearing pink t-shirts during warm-ups and pink and white socks during the game... A bake sale and 50/50 raffle will be held during the men's and women's home games ...  All of the proceeds from the bake sale, and half of the raffle winnings will go to the Perfect Fit Boutique of the Regional Cancer Center of Faxton-St. Luke's Healthcare.

Pioneer Profile: UC is currently riding a three-game winning streak headed into its season finale… The Pioneers hold an overall record of 10-14, including a 5-8 mark in the Empire 8 Conference.

On a Late Roll: Utica looks to end its season on a high note while extending its win streak to four headed into the off-season… The current streak featured wins against Nazareth, Alfred and Elmira, all on the road… On Feb. 4, UC pulled out a 61-55 victory against Naz and followed that up with back-to-back wins the next weekend at Alfred, 48-40, and Elmira, 73-69.

Fiore Firing Away: Junior forward Meghan Fiore (Epping, NH/Epping) has sat atop the Empire 8 in scoring, rebounding and field goal percentage all season … Fiore, second in scoring and FG%, is averaging 17.6 points while shooting 50% from the floor … She is also third in rebounding with 8.8 per contest.

The Facilitator: Senior point guard Katie McGee (Philadelphia, PA/Nazareth) is entering her 97th and final game as a Pioneer … McGee has started in 93-of-96 games for UC, while averaging 34.5 minutes in her four year career… This season, she has been in the top 14 in every category all season long…  She leads the conference in assists (5.0 Avg/G) and minutes played (37.6 Avg/G) and she is fifth in free throw (78.7%) and sixth in 3-point percentage.

Karst's Campaign: Senior forward Justine Karst (Olean, NY/Hinsdale) will be partaking in her final game for UC after four seasons and 105 games played… This season, Karst has started all 24 games and is currently 10th in the E8 in rebounding (6.1 Avg/G) and 12th in steals (1.5 Avg/G)… Over the course of her career, she has averaged 3.3 points and 3.2 boards, while recording a .378 shooting percentage.

Bombs Away: Ithaca College, presently tied for first in the E8 with Hartwick, has an overall record of 20-4 while posting a 12-1 ledger in the conference… The Bombers have won four straight and eight out of their last 10… Their current run, all away from home, includes weekend sweeps over Nazareth and St. John Fisher as well as Elmira and Alfred.

Season Details: The Pioneers fell short of post-season play after seven consecutive appearances in the E8 Tournament … UC posted its first season under .500 since the 2003-04 season as it sits on the bubble in fifth place.
