Utica, NY (9/11/2012)- The Utica College field hockey team looks to remain unbeaten, Wednesday as it takes on cross-town rival, Hamilton College.  Game time is 7 p.m.

Last Time Out: The Pioneers are coming off an 8-1 win over Morrisville State, Saturday… Sophomore Alaina Stojkovski (Liverpool, NY/Cicero-North Syracuse) led UC with two goals and an assist… Junior Jessica Franklin (Delevan, NY/Pioneer) and sophomore Chasity Eckert (Afton, NY/Afton Central) also added two goals for Utica.

Sophomores Stepping Up: The sophomore class has scored ten of the team's 12 goals... Hannah Mackey (Locke, NY/Moravia Central) leads the team with four goals, including two game-winners, and nine points…  She has scored at least one goal in every game so far this season...  Stojkovski (five), Eckert (four), and Louise Steele-Norton (Avondale, PA/Millbrook School) (four) are all in the top five scorers on the team… Classmate Olivia Cunningham (Bethlehem, NH/Profile) has been a rock in net, allowing just two goals in 175 minutes of work.

Scouting Hamilton: The Continentals are currently 0-1... They fell to Trinity College (CT.) 3-2, on Saturday…  The Pioneers are 5-4 against Hamilton dating back to 2003… Last year the Continentals beat UC 4-0… The last time Utica beat Hamilton was in 2008 when it won 2-1.

Looking Ahead: The Pioneers open up league play Saturday, as they host Stevens Institute of Technology… Game time is scheduled for 1 p.m. at Charles A. Gaetano Stadium.
