Biography

2014: Appeared in all 21 games while starting 19 for the Pioneers… She was second on the team in points (37) and goals (16), while having five assists… She totaled 1,208 minutes on the year… She was an all-region first team selection.

2013: Steele-Norton started in 19 of 20 games played… She totaled 964 minutes… Had 41 points (18 goals, five assists) on the season which ranked her second on the team… Scored four game-winning goals this season against SUNY Geneseo (9/18/13), against St. John Fisher (9/21/13), against Rensselaer (10/9/13) and against Ithaca (11/9/13)… Recorded a season-high five points (two goals, one assist) in Utica’s 4-0 victory over Ithaca (10/2/13)… In the 20 games she played the Pioneers outscored their opponents 66-31… Named Empire 8 first team All-Conference for the third year in a row… Named to the Longstreth/NFHCA Division III North Atlantic All-Region team for the third year in a row… Finished third in the Empire 8 in points (41) and goals (18), and second in points per game (2.11)… This season, she broke the college’s all-time goals (60) and points scored (128) records.

2012: First Team NFHCA All-American… Empire 8 Conference and North Atlantic Region Player of the Year… started all 20 games she played in… Set a program record for goals in a season with 27… Had the Empire 8 championship-clinching goal against Stevens Institute of Technology on Nov. 4… Scored two goals in the Pioneer’s NCAA first round win against Endicott (11/7/13)… Added one goal in NCAA “sweet sixteen” overtime loss to DePauw on Nov. 10… Had seven multiple goal games, including two hat trick performances.

2011: Led the team in scoring with 31 points (15 goals, one assist) as a freshman… Scored her first career goal in a 1-0 victory over Oswego on Sept. 7… Netted two goals in three different outings… Tallied a season-high five points on two goals, including the game-winner, and added one assist in a 4-3 overtime win over Nazareth on Oct. 1.

Personal: Louise is a 2011 graduate of The Millbrook School and is the daughter of Thomas Norton… She is currently pursuing a degree in Psychology Child-Life.
