Sophomore Standouts: The sophomore class has accounted for nine of the team's ten total points.  Reigning Empire 8 Rookie of the Year, Hannah Mackey (Locke, NY/Moravia Central) leads the Pioneers with three goals.  She netted two goals, including the game winner, in Utica's 3-2 victory over the College of Wooster on Saturday.  Mackey also scored the lone goal as UC defeated St. Lawrence 1-0 on Sunday.  Classmate Louise Steele-Norton (Avondale, PA/Millbrook School), who led the conference in scoring last year, found the back of the net once and threw a team-high 13 shots on net.  First year starting goalie Olivia Cunningham (Bethlehem, NH/Profile) is quickly making a name for herself as well.  The Bethlehem, NH native made ten saves over the weekend en route to two wins and her first career shutout.  For her efforts, she was recently named the Empire 8 Goalie of the Week.

Scouting Morrisville: The Mustangs (0-1) are coming off an 8-1 loss at the hands of Ithaca College on Saturday.  Senior Rebecca Myer scored the lone goal for Morrisville and led the team with three shots on net.  This will be the first meeting ever between the two teams.
