Bridget Greenwald (Wayne, NJ/Wayne Hills) who tallied 11 points and a game-high 13 rebounds.
UC evens its overall record at 10-10 while improving to 6-4 in conference play and returns to the court Friday, Feb. 1st when its visits Stevens Institute of Technology for a 6 p.m. tip-off. The Saxons fall to 5-14 on the season and remain at the bottom of the league standings at 0-10. The Saxons remain home and welcome Houghton College Feb. 1st for an 8 p.m. set start.
The Pioneers opened up the contest with a quick 11-0 lead, within the first four minutes of play, off six straight points from freshman guard
Kelcei Edmonds (Pittsburgh, PA/Shady Side Academy). Edmonds converted a three-point play followed by a bucket from downtown. UC continued its rush as it pushed to a 29-8 advantage halfway through the first period. The home team battled over the next minutes, however trailed 40-20 at the break.
The Saxons hung with UC for the first 10 minutes of the second half before Utica put together a late, 19-9 run, to close out the match by 43 points. Stayer scored 12 of her 20 in the second half as UC snapped a two game losing streak and remains in the top half of the league standings

Kelcei Edmonds (Pittsburgh, PA/Shady Side Academy) racked up a career-high 13 points in her first start for the Pioneers. Sophomore
Marissa Kahane (Sayville, NY/Sayville) chipped in 10 points of her own shooting 4-of-8 from the field and 2-of-5 behind the arc.
Senior
Meghan Fiore (Epping, NH/Epping) quietly tallied 15 points and four rebounds while freshman standout
Mary Miceli (New Rochelle, NY/New Rochelle) recorded seven points and seven grabs, off the bench.
The Saxons were led by Haley Sick who also posted a double-double with 12 points and 12 boards. Rachael Stedman added a team-high 13 points in the loss.
