ECAC Division III Upstate Men's Basketball All-Star Awards

Utica, NY (3-12-13) – Junior Connor Maisch of the Utica College men's basketball team was named to the 2012-13 ECAC Division III Upstate Men's Basketball All-Star Team Friday.  Maisch, named to the Second Team, capped off his junior campaign as the nation's leader in three-point shooting.

The 6-foot-5 forward finished the season first in Division III with a 52.8% from behind the arc while ninth in the country in three-point field goals made with an impressive 88.  He led the team in scoring and was fourth in the Empire 8 Conference averaging 16.3 points per game. Maisch also finished seventh in the conference in defensive rebounding (5.0 r/g).

The Pioneers wrapped up their 2012-13 campaign with a 12-14 overall record including an 8-6 mark in the Empire 8 Conference.  UC finished the league in fourth place and made its first conference tournament appearance since the 2008-09 season however lost to No. 1 seeded Stevens Institute of Technology, 102-66, in the first round.
