Game Two:
Springfield took a 1-0 lead in the third inning but the Pioneers rebounded in the top of the fourth as Fitzgerald and senior Bridgette Plummer (Saratoga Springs, NY/Schuylerville) each scored.  UC added an insurance run in the top of the seventh as Traglia hit an RBI single to bring home senior Dominique Carcone (Frankfort, NY/New Hartford).  Sophomore Cassidy Thompson (Bend, OR/West Valley) was able to hold on in relief to pick up her first save of the season.   Freshman Abby Monroe (Watertown, NY/General Brown) gave up one hit and struck out two batters in 5.2 innings of work to pick up the win in her first collegiate start.

Fitzgerald led UC going 3-for-5 on the day, while Ingalls was 2-for-5 and freshman Alysa Russell (Mechanicville, NY/Mechanicville) was 2-for-6 in her college debut. Traglia was 1-for-2 with two runs and one RBI.
