Rose Zaloom (Utica, NY/T.R. Proctor) and freshman Erin Churchill guided UC as they recorded six points in doubles play only to lose, 8-6, to Bard's No. 1 Julia DeFabo and No. 2 Albina Muzafarova.Â
Zaloom recorded two points in singles play in the first frame however lost, 6-2 and 6-0. Sophomore
Doni Look (Bridgeport, NY/Chittenango) and senior Nicole Johnson also fought in singles action however lost 6-2 and 6-1, in mirror fashion.
The Pioneers remain winless at 0-6 and hit the road Saturday as they travel to Rochester, NY to face St. John Fisher College in Empire 8 Conference play. The match is set for 1 p.m.
