Utica, NY (9-19-13) – The Utica College women's tennis team welcomes Empire 8 Conference rival St. Jon Fisher to the Utica College Tennis Courts Saturday … The match is scheduled to start at 1 p.m.

The Pioneers

UC is currently winless at 0-6 overall including an 0-4 mark in league play and looks for its first win of the season against the Cardinals … Including Saturday, Utica has six matches remaining on the schedule this season of which three will be in conference play … Following this weekend's competition, the Pioneers hit the road for back-to-back matches on consecutive days beginning Tuesday, Sept. 24th against Hartwick College and then at nearby local rival Hamilton College on Wednesday, Sept 25th … UC will then host back-to-back matches at the friendly confines of its home courts as it greets Oswego State on Wednesday, Oct. 2nd before wrapping up Empire 8 play against Alfred University on Saturday, Oct. 5th … The season will conclude the following day, on Sun Oct. 6th as the squad heads to Cazenovia College to battle the Wildcats.

Cardinals Scouting Report

St. John Fisher currently occupies a 2-3 overall record including an even 2-2 ledger in the Empire 8 … The Cardinals are 2-2 on their home courts and 0-1 on the road … After opening up the season with back-to-back losses against Brockport and Elmira, Fisher rebounded winning two of its last three in league play against Alfred and Hartwick … Stevens shut out Fisher on Sept. 19th for its third season defeat.
