Utica, NY (9/27/13)- The Utica College women's soccer team looks to bounce back Saturday as it hosts Empire 8 Conference foe, Stevens Institute of Technology.  First kick is scheduled for 12 p.m.

LAST TIME OUT: The Pioneers are coming off a 5-0 loss at nationally ranked No. 8 Ithaca College on Wednesday afternoon… The Bombers outshot the Pioneers 29-4 on the day and earned an 8-0 advantage in corner kicks… Freshman goalie Jamie Enders (Cazenovia, NY/Cazenovia) stopped seven shots in the loss for UC.

LEADING THE WAY: Junior Alana Fitzpatrick (Cheshire, CT/Holy Cross) has a team-best nine points (four goals, one assist), followed by Jenna Hughes (Brookfield, NY/Brookfield) and Samantha Matthews (Valley Falls, NY/Tamarac), who each have two goals and two assists.

HELPING OUT: Senior Sarah Southwell (Rome, NY/Rome Free Academy) is fourth on the team with two goals and one assist, followed by sophomore Krystine Alvear (Ossining, NY/Ossining) (two goals)… Elizabeth Feigum (Milford, NJ/Delaware Valley Regional) and Deanna Didio (Baldwinsville, NY/C.W. Baker) have also registered points.

SCOUTING STEVENS: The Ducks are 3-5 overall and have yet to play an Empire 8 Conference game… They are coming off a 4-3 overtime loss to Drew University on Wednesday… Stevens is led by freshman Gabby Mathelier, who has four goals and ten points on the year…  UC is 0-5 against Stevens in the last five years… Last year Utica fell 4-0 on Oct. 13.

LOOKING AHEAD: UC continues its three-game home stand on Wednesday as it hosts Hartwick College in Empire 8 action… Game time is set for 7 p.m.
