Marion Lewis (Bronx, NY/Lehman) led the way for the Pioneers with 12 points off the bench.
The Ducks opened the game on a 17-6 run in the first 5:35 and did not let up as they picked up their first conference victory of the season. Freshman
Agim Hamiti (Prishtina, Kosovo/Syracuse Academy of Science) led UC starters with 11 points and two steals, while
Aaron Nevins (Buffalo, NY/Canisius) had nine points. Junior
Marty Felicia (Phoenix, NY/Phoenix) had a team-high seven rebounds and
Chris Jeffers (Albany, NY/Bishop Maginn) had six points and a game-high five dishes.
The UC reserves totaled 34 points off the bench.
Ian Henderson (Chateaugay, NY/Chateaugay) and
Kendall Brown (Queens, NY/Benjamin Cardozo) each netted six points, while
Mark Felicia (Phoenix, NY/Phoenix),
Robert Tutein (Nanuet, NY/Nanuet), and
Michael Howard (Bronx, NY/John F. Kennedy) also recorded points. Five players recorded double digits for the Ducks, led by a 17-point performance by Matt Skrelja.
The Pioneers drop to 5-4 on the year, while Stevens improves to 5-3. UC heads to Hartwick College on Saturday in search of its E8 win of the year. Tipoff is scheduled for 3 p.m.
