UTICA, NY – The Utica College women's basketball team returns to the hardwood from a 24 day break from competition when the Pioneers travel to Union College to take on the Dutchwomen Tuesday afternoon at 3 p.m.

MAKING HISTORY: Junior Mary Miceli (New Rochelle, NY/New Rochelle) has registered 712 career points at Utica … She also recently hit her 97th career 3-pointer, ranking her sixth in program history … She needs four more 3-pointers to pass Katie McGee's mark of 100 … Senior Bridget Greenwald (Wayne, NJ/Wayne Hills) has racked up 661 career rebounds for UC… She needs two more rebounds to pass Meghan Fiore for sixth all-time at UC.

DOUBLE-DOUBLE: Bridget Greenwald (Wayne, NJ/Wayne Hills) picked up her fourth double-double of the season in the loss to Bard… She is averaging 10.6 rebounds and 11.1 points per game… Greenwald is first in the Empire 8 with 85 total rebounds and is one of two players in the conference to average a double-double.

SCORING MACHINE: Mary Miceli (New Rochelle, NY/New Rochelle) sits sixth in the Empire 8 with 98 points this season… Miceli leads the team with a scoring average of 12.3 and has registered 12 3-pointers … She is also third in the Empire 8 with a free throw percentage of .811.

TRAGLIA STEPPING UP: Senior Christy Traglia (Mohawk, NY/Mohawk) is tied for second on the team with an average of 11.1 points per game … She is also averaging 3.9 rebounds and 1.6 assists per game … Her 13 steals are second on the team behind Greenwald's 22. 

IN THE POST: Senior Samantha Stayer (Allegany, NY/Allegany-Limestone) has provided a consistent presence in the post this season as she is averaging 9.9 points and 5.5 rebounds per game this season … Her .429 shooting percentage leads the team (33-for-77).

SCOUTING UNION: The Dutchwomen are 4-2 overall and they are coming off a 59-34 victory over Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts on December 13… Union is led by junior Cailin Schmeer, who is averaging 13.7 points per game… Last year Utica lost to Union by just one point, falling 58-57 at the Clark Athletic Center… Mary Miceli (New Rochelle, NY/New Rochelle) led the Pioneers with 17 points, while Christy Traglia (Mohawk, NY/Mohawk) netted a season-high 14 points on 7-of-9 shooting from the floor in the loss.

NEXT TIME OUT: Utica opens up Empire 8 Conference play at home on Friday night… The Pioneers will face St. John Fisher College Friday at 6 p.m. before taking on Ithaca College on at 2 p.m.
