Box Score Ithaca, NY (2-15-14)- Ithaca College scored the winning basket with four seconds remaining as the Utica College men's basketball team fell to the Bombers 86-84 in Empire 8 action Saturday afternoon. Junior
Aaron Nevins (Buffalo, NY/Canisius) led the way for the Pioneers with a game-high 22 points.
Both teams traded the lead, but it was Ithaca who went into the locker room with a 47-46 lead at halftime. The Bombers led by as many as nine in the second half, but UC mounted a comeback, taking the lead with 9:47 remaining off a layup from Nevins. UC held a four point lead with just 1:46 remaining; however the Pioneers could not hold on for the victory. Ithaca tied it up with a three-pointer with just 1:07 left in regulation, before Bomber Frank Mitchell put in the winning basket off the glass to deliver Ithaca's second conference win of the season.

Chris Jeffers (Albany, NY/Bishop Maginn) was second on the team with 21 points, including a perfect 3-for-3 from behind the arc, while junior
Marion Lewis (Bronx, NY/Lehman) had a team-high seven rebounds to go along with his four points and two assists.
Mark Felicia (Phoenix, NY/Phoenix) added 13 points, including three 3-pointers, while freshman
Agim Hamiti (Prishtina, Kosovo/Syracuse Academy of Science) added nine points.
Ithaca improves to 7-17 overall and 2-11 in the Empire 8, while Utica drops to 7-16 (1-12 E8). The Pioneers return to action next weekend for their final home stand of the season. UC takes on Nazareth College Friday at 6 p.m. before facing Houghton College in the season finale on Saturday at 3 p.m.
