Utica, NY (3/25/14)- The Utica College men's lacrosse team looks to keep its momentum going Thursday when it visits SUNY Potsdam at 4 p.m.

POSTPONED: The contest was originally scheduled to be play on Wednesday, but it was postponed until Thursday due to weather. 

THREE IN A ROW?: The Pioneers have now won two straight games for the second time this season and they are 4-2 overall on the year ... The Pioneers are a perfect 4-0 on their home turf of Charles A. Gaetano Stadium and they are still in search of their first road victory of the season.
 
LAST TIME OUT: The Pioneers are coming off a 10-7 win against Hartwick Saturday in their Empire 8 Conference opener… Christian Reiller (Salamanca, NY/Genesee CC) and Joe Schoen (Whitesboro, NY/Whitesboro) led the Pioneers in points on the day, each netting two goals and adding an assist … The Pioneers were down 7-5 at halftime but shut out the Hawks in the second half to earn the victory … UC had three penalties with 1:41 left in the game, but held off the six on three advantage to close out the game.
 
TURNOVER BATTLE: The Pioneers hold a 153-98 turnover margin for the season … 80 of the 153 turnovers have been caused by UC players  … Tom Byrne (Lancaster, NY/Lancaster) leads the team with 18 caused turnovers so far this season after leading the Pioneers last year in the same category.
 
LEADING THE WAY: Sophomore Trent Jacobs (Akwesasne/Brewster Academy) leads the team in goals (12) and is tied in points (18) with Junior Christian Reiller (Salamanca, NY/Genesee CC) (11 goals, 7 assists)… Jacobs is 11^th in the conference in goals per game (2.00) and 14^th in  points per game (3.00)… Reiller is 11^th in the conference in assists per game (1.17) and is tied with Jacobs in points per game (3.00).
 
AT THE X: Zack Stevenson (Elbridge, NY/Jordan-Elbridge) is taking almost all of the faceoffs for the Pioneers this season … He has won 56-of-104 draws which gives him a winning percentage of .538 … His success in the faceoff circle has helped Stevenson rake up 37 ground balls for the year, 6.17 per game, which is good for fourth in the conference… Ross Cree (Akwesasne/Salmon River ) has also seen time at the center circle going 12-of-28.
 
BETWEEN THE PIPES: All four goalies have seen time in net so far… Junior Andrew DiOrio (Greenlawn, NY/CW Post) has started four games and holds a .441 save percentage… Senior Cory Spisak (Lisle, NY/Tompkins Cortland CC) has started two games for the Pioneers… He currently ranks second in the conference with a 6.38 goals against average.
 
SCOUTING POTSDAM:  The Bears are 3-2 overall and they are coming off a 7-5 loss to Kean College last Saturday… Potsdam is led by Rob Kunz who has twice as many points as anyone else on the team (five goals, 11 asssists) … Last season, the Bears edged the Pioneers 7-6 at Charles A. Gaetano Stadium when Kunz scored with 25 seconds left in the game … UC is 2-3 all-time against Potsdam with Utica's last win coming in 2005.
 
LOOKING AHEAD: The Pioneers continue their road trip on Friday as they head to Oswego State… Game time is set for 4 p.m.
