Elmira 9, Utica 0 Final
Utica, NY (September 13, 2014) - The Utica College women's tennis team was shutout Saturday at home by Empire 8 rival Elmira College, 9-0. The Pioneers remain in the hunt for their first win as they fall to 0-4 on the season including a 0-2 mark in Empire 8 play.
Utica remains home as it welcomes The Sage Colleges on Wednesday, Sept. 13
th. The match is set to begin at 4 p.m. at the Utica College Tennis Courts.
The Soaring Eagles move their overall record to 3-1 while improving to 2-1 in E8 play and continue on the road when it travels to Houghton College on Thursday Sept. 18
th (4 p.m.).
Doni Look (Bridgeport, NY/Chittenango) guided the Pioneers in singles play losing 6-4 and 6-0 while
Lu Lu Zhang (Wenzhou, China /Newcomers) tallied two points in her singles match.
