Box Score /24/14)- The Utica College women's soccer team dropped its second straight match Wednesday evening as it fell to host Hartwick College, 3-1, in Empire 8 Conference play.  Senior Alana Fitzpatrick (Cheshire, CT/Holy Cross) scored the only goal for Utica.
 
The Hawks continued their dominant play at home as they jumped out to a two-goal lead in the first 17 minutes of the contest.  Fitzpatrick was able to get one back, however, in the 32nd minute as she fired home a failed clear attempt off a corner kick.  The goal was her third in as many games.  Hartwick put the game out of reach as Kylie Thayer tallied her third of the year at 65:47 to regain the two-goal cushion. 
 
Junior Kelly Heimerle (North Babylon, NY/North Babylon) had four saves, while her counterpart, Annie Millar made five stops in net for Hartwick.  The Hawks improve to 4-2-1 (1-1 Empire 8) on the season and 4-0 at home.  Utica drops to 4-3-1 and 0-2 in the E8.
 
The Pioneers return to action Wednesday as they wrap up their four-game road trip at  local rival, Hamilton College.  Game time is scheduled for 4 p.m.
