Lu Lu Zhang (Wenzhou, China /Newcomers) who tallied the lone point for the Pioneers winning her singles match in the number six spot.
UC drops to 0-9 overall including a 0-6 record in Empire 8 action while the Bombers remain perfect at 6-0 on the season and 5-0 in E8 play. IC will take part in the 2014 Intercollegiate Tennis Association Regional Championships this week (Sep 27-29) hosted by Hobart and William Smith (Geneva, NY) in the Northeast Region.
The Pioneers hit the road for a pair next weekend against Alfred University and Hamilton College. Utica travels down to Alfred next Saturday for a 1 p.m. match versus the Saxons before facing cross-town foe Hamilton College up the road on Sunday for a 10 a.m. start at the Grey Courts.
